Christmas Holidays

All PISD campuses will be closed for the Christmas holidays beginning Wednesday, Dec. 20.  School resumes with the second semester on Thursday, Jan. 4.

PISD's Notification System

Paris ISD uses School Messenger to provide timely communications. If you have a child attending PISD, you are automatically in the database and will receive phone notifications. To enhance our ability to accurately deliver information on activities and emergencies, we kindly request that you create your own contact preference profile.

Text Messaging

If you would like to have notifications sent to you cell phone, you can opt in to the PISD text messaging service.  Learn more.

Student Council

To be eligible to run for Student Council and/or class officers, a student must meet the following criteria for the two semesters immediately prior to the election:

  1. have earned at least a “B” average,
  2. have not been given any all-day ISS or,
  3. assigned to DAEP.

The student may appeal to the principal and the sponsor regarding extenuating circumstances.  Appropriate election timelines and procedures for “signing up” to have the name placed on a ballot are posted in the main office and communicated to students during daily announcements.  Elections are usually held in May for grades 10-12 and at the beginning of the school year for incoming freshmen.

The Student Council sponsors are Danielle Dollins and Angela Calvin.
