To be eligible to run for Student Council and/or class officers, a student must meet the following criteria for the two semesters immediately prior to the election:
The student may appeal to the principal and the sponsor regarding extenuating circumstances. Appropriate election timelines and procedures for “signing up” to have the name placed on a ballot are posted in the main office and communicated to students during daily announcements. Elections are usually held in May for grades 10-12 and at the beginning of the school year for incoming freshmen.
Each month Paris High staff recognizes a student who goes above and beyond the norm of student expectations to help make the school a better place for learning. The February winner is Payne Couts. See monthly winners on our Students of the Month page.
Paris High juniors (from left) Jeremy Seals, Evelyn Brown, Ansley Downs, and Alyssa Tacuyan have been selected to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) camp. Read more.
