Students received their three-weeks academic progress reports on Tuesday during their second-period classes. The current grading cycle concludes with semester exams scheduled this Friday, Monday, and Tuesday.
All PISD campuses will be closed for the Christmas holidays beginning Wednesday, Dec. 20. School resumes with the second semester on Thursday, Jan. 4.

To be eligible to run for Student Council and/or class officers, a student must meet the following criteria for the two semesters immediately prior to the election:
The student may appeal to the principal and the sponsor regarding extenuating circumstances. Appropriate election timelines and procedures for “signing up” to have the name placed on a ballot are posted in the main office and communicated to students during daily announcements. Elections are usually held in May for grades 10-12 and at the beginning of the school year for incoming freshmen.

Wildcats Come Home. After spending the first three weeks of the 2017-18 boys basketball season on the road, the Paris Wildcats continue a long homestand Monday when they host the Greenville Lions for three games in the Wildcat Gym. The freshmen game tips off at 5 p.m. followed by JV (about 6:30) and varsity (8). The Cats will host Mount Pleasant Thursday, Dec. 21, before taking time off for the Christmas holidays.
