Progress Reports

Students received their three-weeks academic progress reports on Tuesday during their second-period classes.  The current grading cycle concludes with semester exams scheduled this Friday, Monday, and Tuesday.

Christmas Holidays

All PISD campuses will be closed for the Christmas holidays beginning Wednesday, Dec. 20.  School resumes with the second semester on Thursday, Jan. 4.

PISD's Notification System

Paris ISD uses School Messenger to provide timely communications. If you have a child attending PISD, you are automatically in the database and will receive phone notifications. To enhance our ability to accurately deliver information on activities and emergencies, we kindly request that you create your own contact preference profile.

Text Messaging

Counseling

High school students face many daily challenges both inside and outside the classroom.  The faculty and staff of Paris High provide many services to help students navigate those challenges.  In particular, the Counseling Department offers an array of academic and personal counseling assistance to help students make informed decisions about college and careers.

Applications for most of the scholarship listings on this page can be picked up in the PHS Counseling Department; however, for some listings, students may be required to apply online.  Look for specific scholarships with the nearest application deadlines to be listed first in order.

  • Lamar Soil & Water District Essay (Deadline: Dec. 15)
    • Maximum 500 words on topic “Healthy Soils are Full of Life”
    • First place $125, second place $75
  • Discover Student Loans (Deadline: Dec. 31)
    • 40 students randomly selected to win $2,500 scholarship

  • Texas Engineering Foundation (Deadline: Jan. 19)
    • 3.0 or higher GPA with score at least 620 math, 580 reading/writing on SAT or 29 in math, 25 in English on ACT

  • Texas Student Housing (Deadline: Jan. 31)
    • For students accepted to colleges in Austin, College Station or Denton who have NOT signed off-campus housing leases.
    • Scholarships awarded for full or partial cost of off-campus room for one academic year at Town Lake in Austin, the Ridge at North Texas, and the Cambridge in College Station
  • East Texas Communities Foundation (Deadline: Feb. 1 unless stated otherwise)
    • 51 unique scholarships

Registration Notice

Students new to Paris ISD may register for the 2017-18 school year beginning Monday, Aug. 7).    Students will need to bring the following:

  1. Parent or legal guardian
  2. Proof of residency
  3. Social Security card
  4. Birth Certificate
  5. Shot record
  6. Withdrawal paper
  7. Last report card or transcript (if previously in high school)
