Thursday Night School

Students with excessive absences this semester can make up time by attending a series of Thursday Night Schools.  Download schedule for dates and rules.

PISD's Notification System

Paris ISD uses School Messenger to provide timely communications. If you have a child attending PISD, you are automatically in the database and will receive phone notifications. To enhance our ability to accurately deliver information on activities and emergencies, we kindly request that you create your own contact preference profile.

High school students face many daily challenges both inside and outside the classroom.  The faculty and staff of Paris High provide many services to help students navigate those challenges.  In particular, the Counseling Department offers an array of academic and personal counseling assistance to help students make informed decisions about college and careers.

 Scholarship Information

Applications for most of the scholarship listings on this page can be picked up in the PHS Counseling Department; however, for some listings, students may be required to apply online.  Look for specific scholarships with the nearest application deadlines to be listed first in order.

For a more thorough listing of available scholarships, visit:

  • TTA Foundation
    • Student MUST turn in application to counselors office by March 27
    • Must have GPA of 3.0 or higher
    • Special consideration to students seeking degrees in telecommunications-related field
  • Texas Builders Foundation (Deadline: March 30)
    • Must be pursuing construction-related trade certification or degree
    • Must demonstrate interest in obtaining employment in construction industry or construction-related field

  • ABC Auto Parts Automotive (Deadline: April 2)
    • Two $5,000 scholarships for students to pursue automotive career and in any related field
    • Family members of ABC Auto Parts employees are ineligible
  • Lamar Electric Cooperative (Deadline: April 6)
  • Josie Pearl (Deadline: April 4 by mail; April 7 by email)
    • Awarded to PHS senior based on financial need, community service, and academic performance
    • Minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Lamar County Farm  Bureau (Deadline: April 8)
    • Parents MUST be members of Farm Bureau
    • Based on scholastic ability and financial need
  • Lamar-Delta County Medical Society (Deadline: May 1)
    • Up to four scholarships of $1,000 each towards pursuit of a medically related degree and career

Registration Notice

Students new to Paris ISD may register for the 2017-18 school year beginning Monday, Aug. 7).    Students will need to bring the following:

  1. Parent or legal guardian
  2. Proof of residency
  3. Social Security card
  4. Birth Certificate
  5. Shot record
  6. Withdrawal paper
  7. Last report card or transcript (if previously in high school)
