Financial Aid Meeting

dollar signsParents of graduates from the Class of 2018 should plan to attend an informative college financial aid meeting on Monday, Nov. 6, 5:30 p.m., in the library.  Representatives from Paris JC will be on hand to offer tips for preparing for post-graduation, and the PHS counselors office will help fill out FAFSA forms for parents who bring their 2016 tax information with them.

UIL Checkpoint

The first nine weeks grading period ends Friday, Oct. 20, and academic progress reports will be distributed the following week.  These reports determine UIL eligibility (no pass, no play).  Tutorials are available each morning, 8:05-8:30 a.m.

Thursday Night School

Students who have excessive absences should plan to attend Thursday Night School to make up those absences.  Download dates and further details.

PISD's Notification System

Paris ISD uses School Messenger to provide timely communications. If you have a child attending PISD, you are automatically in the database and will receive phone notifications. To enhance our ability to accurately deliver information on activities and emergencies, we kindly request that you create your own contact preference profile.

Text Messaging

If you would like to have notifications sent to you cell phone, you can opt in to the PISD text messaging service.  Learn more.

Bell Schedules

The normal instructional day begins with the 1st-period tardy bell at 8:35 AM and ends with the 7th-period dismissal bell at 3:50 PM.  Lunch periods are assigned according to the student's 4th-period class.  Most classes are 50 minutes in length.

On designated days, classes will be cut five minutes short to provide time for student assemblies or exams.  On those days, Paris High will operate a Pep Rally Bell Schedule.

Students will take semester exams at the conclusion of each academic semester.  Refer to the Semester Exams web page for a detailed schedule for those days.
