BlueTube Club

  • Sponsor: Tim Taylor
  • Purpose: To promote communications through the use of multimedia via video editing, broadcasting, and Internet authoring
  • Eligibility: The club is open to any student who is currently enrolled in, or previously completed, an Audio/Video Production class or has passed a hands-on camera certification test and a written test on videocamera basics and the fundamentals of video production.  Instruction needed to pass the two tests is provided through a week-long video summer workshop.  Applications for the workshop are distributed by May 15.  (Note: The workshop requirement may be waived for any student who previously served on the CATv crew at Paris Junior High and receives a satisfactory recommendation from the PJHS sponsor.)
  • Dues: None
  • Major Activities: Students in the BlueTube Club may contribute to a variety of school-sponsored communication channels including:
    • BlueTube, the school's video news broadcast
    • Pawcast, the school's daily announcements delivered in various media formats
    • PHS Website
  • Other Benefits: Students in the BlueTube Club may check out cameras and other audio/video equipment to produce class and approved individual projects.
