About Me

Educational History:

I grew up in Sachse, Texas and attended North Garland High School in Garland, Texas. I went to college at Richland Community College in Richardson, Texas and then went on to attend Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois.

Degrees and Certifications:

I earned an Associates degree in Arts and Science at Richland Community College and then earned a Bachelors Degree in Education at Roosevelt University. I have a certificate in Mathematics and Special Education.

Professional Development:

I love to use technology in the classroom. For the last couple years I have tried to learn EVERYTHING Google. In 2017,  I was priveledged to be a presenter at the Region 10 Tech Conference on Differentiating in the Classroom using Google Forms. I attended the amazing TI Calculator Conference in 2018 and several more TI Calculator PDs at Region 8. 

Current Position:

This will be my third year with Paris ISD. I am excited to be teaching Algebra 1 and Honors Algebra 2 at Paris High School.

Previous Position:

I began my teaching career in Chicago, Illinois. I  taught mathematics at Sulphur Springs High School, at Wilson Middle School in Plano, Texas, and now I am blessed to be teaching at Paris High School.

Family Information:

I am married to Michael Anthony, who teaches and coaches at Paris Junior High. We have been married for 5 years. We both have 4 kids each. They are all grown and out of the house except one. We have 6 grandchildren that we try to see as much as possible. 

Personal Information:

I like to read, watch Hulu, and play the piano. My husband and I like to go fishing and watch the Dallas Cowboys.
