English teacher
My high school alma mater is Itawamba Agricultural High School in Fulton, Mississippi. I attended Itawamba Community College, which is also located in Fulton, for two years before obtaining my bachelor's degree at Mississippi State University (GO BULLDOGS!).
I completed the alternative certification program at Texas A&M University-Commerce after spending almost six years as a sports reporter/editor at The Paris News.
I have a bachelor's degree from Mississippi State University.
I am certified to teach English/language arts and reading for grades 7-12.
I complete many hours of professional development each year, primarily in areas pertaining to writing, Future Problem Solving, and techniques of teaching Gifted and Talented students.
This is my sixth year as a teacher, having taught the past five years at Paris Junior High. I'm excited about the opportunity to teach English III at PHS! Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. My sincere goal is to help my students in any way I can.
I spent almost six years as a sports reporter and editor at The Paris News. I try to apply that experience in the classroom as often as I can.
I am married, and we have a 5-year-old daughter and 1-year-old son.
As you can tell from my previous occupation, I love sports! I like a lot of different sports, such as professional and college football, baseball, basketball, and soccer.
